The Danish men’s singles badminton player, Anders Antonsen, has not forgotten his defeat at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics against Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.

INDOSPORT.COM – Danish men’s singles badminton player, Anders Antonsen has not forgotten his defeat at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics against Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.

Anders Antonsen had to swallow the bitter reality in the semifinals of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The Danish representative had to acknowledge the strength of Anthony Sinisuka Ginting after struggling in rubber game 18-21, 21-15, 18-21.

If possible, Anders Antonsen hopes to turn back time so that the defeat does not happen.

“It was a tough match, the score was tight, but in the end the game got away from me and Anthony played really well at crucial moments. Anthony did well, he is a phenomenal player,” Anders Antonsen said on his personal YouTube channel.

“I said this many times. He is a good person and a good player. I would like to play the rally again if I could turn back time and make changes in the strokes and tactics that I applied wrongly, to the details,” he continued.

Anders Antonsen has repeatedly praised Anthony Sinisuka Ginting’s slick performance at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

“What’s amazing about badminton is that details are so important at a time like that, and Anthony played better. He was able to take his chances and maximize his chances,” said Antonsen.

“Now I’m going to wait a few days until I can clear my head, because right now I’m very, very disappointed, in shock and empty.”

“I don’t know what I’m feeling right now. But it sure doesn’t feel good to be where I am right now, because it’s a very difficult situation to digest.”
