Free agent guard George Hill plans to sign with the Bucks after clearing waivers and the opening of league year Aug. 6, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The veteran PG is set to return to Milwaukee.

Arrived in Philadelphia during the last trade deadline last March, George Hill could already leave the Sixers. Indeed, it is Shams which links the information that the management of Philadelphia plans to separate from the veteran leader. The latter did not really have the production expected last year for those who had finished first in the regular season.
The contract for next year, of the one that has notably gone to Indiana in his career, is $ 10.05 million. However, his salary is only guaranteed to the tune of 1.28 million, but will become so at full height if the leader is still in the workforce at the end of the week. This is probably what pushes the Sixers to cut George Hill, to limit their payroll.
In 30 regular season games with Philadelphia, George Hill is running 8.7 points and 2.4 assists per game in 22.4 minutes on the field. During the playoffs, his contribution was much less with 4.7 points and 1.5 assist for 17 minutes of playing time.
