BIASCA – It has been a tough year for all activities that involve close contact between people. And judo, among the many sports disciplines, has also been affected. In fact, since October last year, adult training had to be suspended, in line with federal regulations. This is also the case of Judo Kwai Biasca, which announces that from Monday 6 September it will resume its activity on its carpets, the so-called tatamis, at full capacity.
“The JKB has existed since 1966 and has sixty affiliates between adults and children,” explains the president of the club. “2020, and in part also 2021, were difficult years, the impossibility of training did not please anyone, but now we are ready to restart with enthusiasm”. With the children’s group, the company regularly participates in national and international tournaments: “The main purpose is that everyone takes pleasure in practicing the martial art and in progressing in the belt ranks as well as in the knowledge of sport,” he adds.
«Judo is a contact sport suitable for everyone, and you can easily start even at an advanced age as long as you have a minimum of physical condition. It is suitable for both sexes and increases the psycho-physical balance. Children can register from the age of 7 and training is scheduled on Mondays from 18.30 to 20. Adults train on Mondays and Thursdays from 20 ».
