Tsitsipas with the next victory – and the next long toilet break: He did it again. The world number three from Greece took a toilet break of more than seven minutes after losing the third set in his second round victory against the Frenchman Adrian Mannarino – and thus caused the displeasure of the spectators at the US Open.

Tsitsipas was booed
When the top player returned to Arthur Ashe Stadium, parts of the audience booed him and then cheered Mannarino loudly. “I didn’t do anything wrong, so I don’t get it. People love the sport, they come to see tennis,” said Tsitsipas: “I have nothing against them. I love the fans.”
The French Open finalist was not deterred and won the game 6: 3, 6: 4, 6: 7 (4: 7), 6: 0. After the 23-year-old’s first round match, his opponent Andy Murray complained vehemently about Tsitsipas’s long toilet breaks and received support from Olympic champion Alexander Zverev, among other things.
