Football: a second consecutive defeat for US Orléans, the first away

After Chambly at La Source stadium, US Orléans conceded his second consecutive defeat, this Monday evening, in Saint-Ouen, facing the Red Star. And again on the lowest score (1-0). It is also the first setback for Xavier Collin’s players away from home after a victory at Laval and a draw at Boulogne.

On the brand new lawn of the Bauer stadium, the Orléanais have nevertheless returned to their match, with in particular Nkada who made some differences on the right side. But his centers could not be improved by his teammates.

Cheick Ndoye hits the mark

In this very rhythmic meeting, the Audoniens, them, scored on almost their first real opportunity after a few alerts on the goal of the Hostis. On a corner, Cheick Ndoye, however the man to watch imperatively from the top of his 192 cm, arrived launched to cut the trajectory and his powerful header left no chance for the Orleans goalkeeper (27th).

USO could very well have come back quickly, but Nkada’s superb half-volley could not find the frame, while Butelle was not surprised by the strike of Benkaïd, after a breakthrough at the entrance to the surface.

The group of the US Orléans against the Red Star

The pace did not slow down on the recovery. The USO was holding up, but no longer displayed the same mastery. The Red Star took the game on his own and was not far from the break with Durand’s goal just denied for offside (75e).

In Saint-Brieuc on Friday

The USO could even have left Saint-Ouen with the point of the draw, like last season when it had equalized at the end of the game. Corn on an overflow from Benkaïd, Lepaul was too tight to retake the cross. And in added time, the Orleans striker saw Butelle take out a final parry to push back his shot.

The Orléanais will continue a second consecutive trip. They will play in Saint-Brieuc, this Friday, September 10, in a match counting for the sixth day of National 1. Kick-off at 19 hours.
