Juventus Should Try Signing Icardi!

Turin

Former top Italian striker Christian Vieri feels that Juventus’ move to sign Moise Kean is not right. Juventus should try to bring in Mauro Icardi.

To replace Cristiano Ronaldo, Bianconeri loaned Kean from Everton for two seasons until 2022/2023. Kean performed quite well last season after scoring 19 goals while on loan at Paris St. Germain.

Juventus finally landed Kean back in Turin after being linked with Mauro Icardi. The situation of the Argentine bomber was actually not very good because of the lack of opportunities to play at PSG.

Since joining The Parisians in the past two years, Icardi has only scored 35 goals in 66 appearances, mostly as a substitute. In fact, Icardi was so vicious when he was in uniform with Inter Milan with a score of 124 goals in 219 matches for six seasons.

Juventus coach Massimilano Allegri has reportedly spoken with Mauro Icardi. However, in the end the Old Lady nevertheless failed to continue her pursuit of Icardi. The conditions that are said to make Allegri frustrated.

“Before Ronaldo left, I said that Juventus’ attack was stronger,” Vieri told The Gazzetta dello Sport. “Juve were stronger. Now, I put Inter in front.”

“Cristiano’s 25 to 30 goals are gone, those who say it didn’t go well will be happy. When Ronaldo left, there was no better option.”

“But someone else has to score the goals he’s got. I don’t think Kean will be able to score that many goals, but I think it’s right to give him a full season before judging.”

“Icardi is someone who plays very little for his team, but he’s a ready-made striker. It’s easy for him to score 20 goals. Given the need for those 20 goals, maybe I would have done more to get him. But in the market, it’s not. it’s always possible to do what’s best,” concluded Vieri on Juventus’ transfer policy.
