The Villanueva del Arzobispo Summer School, which includes the Summer School itself and the summer sports school, has had more than 300 students this summer. The Summer School, which has already ended its activities, had students from 4 to 12 years old, while the sports school reached 18 years of age.
The Summer School was promoted by the Villanueva del Arzobispo City Council, through its Department of Sports and the Municipal Sports School and community social services. A total of eleven monitors participated in the school and were distributed proportionally to the students.
Regarding activities, in sports they practiced Futsal, Soccer, Paddle, Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, rhythmic gymnastics and skating. While the Summer School had a multitude of workshops on the environment, recycling, psychomotor skills, multisports, cinema, as well as excursions, visits to emblematic places of the municipality and participation in the activities of the Eracis program.
All the activities were carried out in the municipal swimming pool, in the San Blas Park, in the covered pavilion, as well as in the San Blas municipal sports center, passing through the Cine Regio Theater.
All this offer made it possible for young and old to enjoy during the summer months, combining sports, leisure and fun activities with educational and learning activities, a perfect mix to spend a most enriching summer.
