At “Rendez-Vous Nature”: Zec-BSL confronted with irritants and suppliers survey their customers

This week on the radio program “Rendez-Vous Nature”, after bow and crossbow hunting on the “zec orignal” in Quebec, the Zec Bas-Saint-Laurent, and with the firearm , from October 16 to 24, hunters are calling for means to counter many irritants.

Ernie Wells takes stock with President Guillaume Ouellet, who speaks in particular on the supervision of ATVs during the bow and crossbow, if the use of these devices encourages hunters to attempt an uncertain shot. Should the Zec-BSL then require a practical test at the entrance to the territory, and should it impose a choice between hunting with a bow and crossbow, or a firearm to protect the livestock?

President Ouellet also speaks on a subject he considers taboo, illegal outfitting on his territory. After two difficult years for outfitters, due to COVID-19, the Secretary General of the Fédération des Pourvoiries du Québec, Dominic Dugré takes stock of the situation and calls on outdoor enthusiasts to participate in the “Help us to know you better ”.

All this and more at “Rendez-Vous Nature”, broadcast from October 16 via 23 radio stations from Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie, Côte-Nord, Outaouais, Laurentides, Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Lanaudière, Mauricie, Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean, Nord-du-Québec, Quebec, Port-Menier (Anticosti Island), Iles-de-la-Madeleine, northern New Brunswick, and on the web: www.rendez-vousnature.ca , and as a reminder during the week in the “Radio broadcasts” section.
