ROUBAIX – The track sprinters traveled hesitantly to Roubaix, to drive a World Cup at the end of a very difficult season. In their words, Harrie Lavreysen and Jeffrey Hoogland almost made it seem as if they were close to decay. In the team sprint, however, they were still in a class of their own, as was also the case in the keirin where they divided the gold (Lavreysen) and silver (Hoogland). The latter also humiliated everything and everyone on the kilometer on Friday evening.
