FC Emmen can add three very important points in the Kitchen Champion Division. On a visit to Roda JC, trainer Dick Lukkien’s team won 1-2. Stefano Marzo was the schlemiel on Roda side with a special own goal.
Emmen got off to a good start in Kerkrade and took a 0-1 lead after eight minutes of play. Jari Vlak scored the first goal of the match. However, the away team could not enjoy the lead for long: three minutes later it was already level again. Dylan Vente caused great joy in the Parkstad Limburg Stadium.
The game was even in the first half. Out of nowhere Emmen took the lead again after 35 minutes of play. Roda defender Marzo tried to head a cross next to his own goal, but he was not focused. The ball fell through the inside of the post behind a hopeless Rody de Boer: 1-2.

To make matters worse, this score was still on the scoreboard after more than ninety minutes of play. Vente had the chance to make his second of the game, but failed to do so. He hit the post face to face with Emmen keeper Michael Brouwer.
With the win Emmen remains fourth in the Kitchen Champion Division. The team is on 22 points after 12 games. Roda remains in 7th place with 18 points.
