“Nitro RX” stage 3 started with 1: 1 fights on Saturday. According to the results, the riders were divided into two races. Ronalds Baldiņš started in the first race from the last starting row (after 1: 1 races Baldiņš took 13th place in his debut), but unfortunately the ride turned out to be quite short for our athlete – after a collision with one of the competitors, Liama Dorana’s car quickly changed direction and caught Ronalds Baldiņa car, as a result of which both athletes ran off the track – Dorans threw a ball, but Baldiņš broke the front wheel of his “Honda Civic Coupe”.

Treviss Pastrana celebrated his victory in a thorough ride in the dust, leaving Scott Spid (+0.668) and Robin Larson (+4,606) behind. Thanks to this victory, Pastrana immediately made it to the finals, securing her first start line.

In the second race, Steve Arpin and Thyme Hansen fought for the first position for a long time, where Hansen became the leader of the race a little later. A little later, Arpin’s second place was attacked by Kevin Hansen, who managed to move up to second place after several contacts, but in the last lap Kevin lost speed quickly and took sixth place in the finish, his brother, who also secured a place in the final, losing 12.2 seconds.

This was followed by two semi-final races. Scott Spid and Tanner Faust won the first two places in the first semifinals, both of whom made it to the finals. Kevin Hansen and Baldiņš started from the last row in the second semi-final. The start was better for Baldiņš, who knew how to overtake Hansen. Ronald was in fifth place for two laps, but unfortunately a technical defect (the ashes of the turbo tube) prevented him from reaching the finish line. Meanwhile, initially after the contact-rich struggles, Robin Larson was the fastest, leaving behind Steve Arpin of Canada, who was dissatisfied with Larson’s actions after the finish. Larson was later sentenced to 5 seconds and relegated to fourth place, while Arpin and another newcomer, Kils Bush, took first place.

This was followed by two final last race races (four athletes each). Only three participants took part in the first race, including Baldiņš. After the start, our athlete retained the third place, but later Baldiņš climbed to the second place. Unfortunately, Ronald failed to fight for the victory, so he had to settle for the third place, which prevented him from entering the final. Kabots Bigams was the last to reach the final, for whom Baldiņš lost 7.5 seconds. Kevin Hansen won the second race of last hope.

Pastrana won the final, with T. Hansen losing two seconds and Spid 5.5 seconds behind.

There are two more stages left in the championship, where the next one will take place next weekend.
