El Salvador met its flag bearers for the Junior Pan American Games in Cali

Living in advance the great youth party. So are the athletes salvadorans, who have qualified for the I Games Junior Pan American, in Cali, Colombia 2021. In this way, this Friday, they met the standard bearers of the fair, in which the country hopes to win medals.

After a ceremony for the delivery of the national flag, Team ESA unveiled the two flag bearers for the fair. Who is it? They will be Paola Corado, archery, and Uriel Canjura, badminton, both athletes of national youth high performance.

In both Salvadorans, there is good expectation of achieving a continental medal in this first edition of the contest.

The archer, in compound mode, has stood out in the last year in international events, with individual, mixed and team podiums; the badminton player plays for Club Oviedo in Spain, so that experience and growth are key to finding a metal.

“I am very proud, very happy, very excited. The truth is that they are a lot of mixed emotions. Yes, it was something I dreamed of: being the flag bearer of El Salvador, and now it has come true, “said Corado.

“So I hope the inauguration is very nice, and (by) carrying the flag I am going to feel very excited, waving it,” she added.

For his part, the native of Suchitoto sent a message from Spain. “I was chosen to be the standard bearer for the Americans in Cali, and I feel very happy for this team and we are very motivated, with everything super ready,” he said.

The Salvadoran delegation, as confirmed by the ESA Olympic Committee (Coes), will be made up of “67 athletes from 20 sports.” Everyone is ready for the event (November 25 to December 5). In the next few days, the journey to coffee soil will begin.
