Iberdrola celebrates the second edition of the SuperA awards that seek to promote excellence for women in sport

Iberdrola celebrates this Wednesday, December 1, the II SuperA Awards, an action framed in “Iberdrola’s commitment to promote gender equality and, specifically, to promote excellence for women through sports practice,” according to the company itself.

The awards ceremony will take place at the facilities on Calle Tomás Redondo in Madrid starting at 5:30 p.m. The company will award a prize with an endowment of € 50,000 to the best project of each application.

In total there are 6 categories in which Iberdrola wants to support projects and initiatives: Grassroots Sports, Competition, Inclusion, Social Integration, Dissemination and Sustainability.

At the event, chaired by the CEO of Iberdrola Ignacio Galán, The members of the Jury of Honor will attend Vicente del Bosque, Jesús Carballo, Marta Arce, Paloma del Río and Teresa Perales, along with the athletes Carolina Marín (badminton), Ona Carbonell (swimming), Sandra Sánchez (karate), Amanda Sampedro (soccer), Liliana Fernández (Volleyball) , Teresa Díaz (fencing), Alejandra Querada (gymnastics), Elsa Vaquerizo (Volleyball), Stefy Navarro (Gymnastics), Desirée Vila (adapted athletics), María Losada (rugby), Clara Azurmendi (badminton), Cristina Gómez (squash), María Delgado (for swimming) and Adiaratou Iglesias (for athlete), among others.
