We will send you a scoring table for Grand Slam Baku 2021 and Japanese national team players. As usual, the biggest evaluation axis is “whether or not you were able to properly exert your power.” Also, in this tournament, where the shadow of the powerful players was overshadowed by overseas players, the women’s tournament was in a collapsed state. The level was not too high. The Japanese are doing well, but the female players have to keep their scores down to some extent. Please understand this point.

It was a tournament where you could see the life-sized appearance of young people today and their standing position in the world. What was noticeable was that the players who made judo on the premise that they would win on the ground in Japan would lose on that ground and would not be able to find a way or a solution. Suddenly, I can’t do what I want to do. This tendency was especially strong for boys. Almost all of the Olympic athletes were the first to win on the ground, so this is not something that can be generalized as a characteristic of the Japanese as a whole. So, is the Olympic athlete a problem of personality, or is it a problem of the domestic environment where 3rd or lower people usually live, or is it a problem of “familiarity” due to the difference in the battlefield? Is it a difference in consciousness as to whether or not they are making judo? I would love to hear how the strengthening side views this area.

And it was the biggest harvest of this tournament that this situation was seen at an early stage. At this time, the level was obviously not high, and it seems that there were many hurdles to overcome if it was a mass dispatch to a tournament in a remote place, but the decision itself of dispatch was fine play. rice field. It’s worth doing this this year instead of carrying it over to next year. Especially the boys were clear from the selection of members. As I mentioned a little in the text below, the dispatch of Hayato Kondo and Tatsuru Saito is quite good both as a prescription for the person himself and from the perspective of overall optimization of strengthening the entire class. It made me strongly feel the good intuition of the game, which is the characteristic of director Keiji Suzuki.

The introduction has become long, but each player’s review is as follows. The highest score is Kosuke Mashiyama, who won the men’s 90kg class. He established his own style of battle by balancing his strengths with the conditions required on the international stage, and the opponents he defeated were highly rated. Above all, he had a strong feeling of competing with them and never giving up.
