Liverpool must miss Firmino for more than a month: “Heavy blow” | Premier League

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has been sidelined for at least a month with a hamstring injury. He ran it in the CL match against Atletico Madrid and misses, among other things, the World Cup qualifiers with Brazil against Argentina and Colombia.

Firmino left Atletico Madrid on Tuesday with an injury ten minutes before the end. He was replaced by Divock Origi. An examination shows that his hamstring is fairly damaged.

Missing ‘Bobby’ is a serious blow to us,” Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp said in a press chat today ahead of Sunday’s game against West Ham.

“We are talking about more than four weeks and that is a serious injury in my view. But Firmino usually recovers quickly. I hope so now. Normally you hope to recover players who drop out before the international break immediately after, that is unfortunately not the case with him.”

Firmino has made 11 Premier League appearances this season, scoring 6 goals. In the Brazilian squad, his place was taken by Real player Vinicius Jr..
