Semifinals at the ITF GCC World Cup

On a spectacular day yesterday, we were able to witness excellent matches from 1:00 p.m., where people gathered to enjoy good tennis.

Without a doubt, the most anticipated match was that of the Mexican Rodrigo Pacheco, who faced the Korean Gerard Campana Lee.

The two very good players at the back of the courts, both competitors dominating their top sping strokes, and on some occasions with slice changes, giving classes in mastery of technique and power.

The difference was on the side of Rodrigo, at the end of the match, where he was more constant, seeking to pressure his opponent, until he reached the error or, getting Gerard to leave the ball comfortable after a long rally, and Rodrigo killed him with a lot of power.

In this way the young Pacheco won by 6-2 and 6-4 and thus go to the Final.

With this, many people are expected in the stands and to support our player who represents Mexico.

The Final match will be from 9:00 am and admission will be free.

The other Semifinal was between the Peruvian Ignacio Buse and the Russian Yaroslav Demin.

This Semifinal was a very powerful match from the back of the court, very even from the first points and in the second set it could have been for any of the players. The match was won by the Peruvian Ignacio Buse by 6-3 and 7-5.

In the women’s semifinals the matches were not so even in either of the two matches, the winners of each match made the difference and their quality and this was also reflected on the scoreboard.

Linda Fruhvirtova of the Czech Republic beat Luciana Pérez Alarcón of Peru 6-0 6-2.

In the other Semifinal Brenda Fruhvirtova from the Czech Republic beat Mariana Stakusic from Canada 6-1 and 6-2.

In this way, the Women’s Final will be between Czechs, and from what they have shown this week, it will be a power match, everything will remain in the family since they are sisters.

Also noteworthy is the good work done by the general referee Lic. Hugo Castillo, who with his experience and professionalism has run the event without any problem.

On the other hand, also highlight the work of the Guadalajara Country Club staff led by the professional Jesús Correa.

During these days, I have had to speak with coaches from other countries and they all give very good comments, about the hotel where they arrived, the club, the meals, the doctors, the attention of the professionals and managers of the event, this gives us great joy to hear it of people who travel all over the world, and who recognize the work and everything that is done to raise the state of Jalisco.

We remind you that today the games begin at 9:00 in the morning, then the doubles follow, something very impressive is that the entrance is free and to all the tennis players who want to go.
