The 17-man squad of our A Men’s National Team for the Belarus and Great Britain matches in the FIBA 2023 World Cup Qualification Group B has been announced. Our nationals will gather in Istanbul on Monday, November 22.
Our crescent-stars will face Belarus away in their first match of 2023 World Cup Qualifiers on Thursday, 25 November at 19.30 CET. In the second match of the group, our Nationals will host Great Britain on Sunday, November 28, in Istanbul. The national team will play against Great Britain at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall and will start at 19.00. Both matches will be broadcast live on NTV.
According to the format announced by FIBA, the top three teams in their groups will advance to the next round. Teams will carry the points they collected in the first group stage to the next group. If our nationals take the first three places in the group, they will be matched with the teams that completed the first three places in Group A. The 12 teams that take the top three places in their groups in the second round will qualify to compete in the FIBA 2023 World Cup.
