Tomateros come back against Yaquis in extra innings

Joey Meneses broke the tie in the top of the twelfth inning with a double producer and the cherries, took the 6-5 victory against the Yaquis of Ciudad Obregón, in the second of the series, carried out at the home of the tribe.

Tomateros’s winning run came with the first courtesy runner. Jesús Fabela started twelfth high in the second and advanced to third with a roll to first. Then, Joey Meneses hit him with a double, all against Alexis Portillo’s pitches.

David Gutierrez retired the bottom in four batters and struck out Alonzo Harris for the final out of the game. With this, he achieved the first game saved of his career in Liga Arco Mexicana del Pacífico.
