Which tennis players won their first ATP tournament in 2021?

Tennis 2021 is ending, a year that is leaving a lot of cloth to cut, and we bring you which tennis players achieved their first ATP title this season.

The first one was Daniel Evans (26°), who after having lost the two finals he previously played, in Sidney 2017 and Delray Beach 2019, managed to cut the streak in the Melbourne ATP 250: defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime (11th) 6-2, 6-3.

After the British followed the Argentine Juan Manuel Cerúndolo (91 °), who at the age of 19 and in his first ATP tournament, was consecrated in the 250 Córdoba after beating Albert Ramos-Viñolas (44 °) 6-0, 2-6 in the final and 6-2.

Another of those who celebrated for the first time in this 2021 was the Australian Alexei Popyrin (59 °): with 21 years (now 22), he consecrated himself in the 250 from Singapore after beating Aleksandr Bublik (36th) 4-6, 6-0 and 6-2. Russian Aslan Karatsev (15th), one of the revelations, won the Dubai 500 against Lloyd Harris by 6-3 and 6-2.

Having lost the Delray Beach final earlier this year, Sebastian Korda (39th) won the 250th trophy from Parma by beating Marco Cecchinato (98th) 6-2, 6-4. Another great revelation was Cameron Norrie (12th): with six finals in 2021, he won the Los Cabos 250th over Brandon Nakashima (63rd) by 6-2 and 6-2.

Carlos Alcaraz (32 °), perhaps the future of world tennis, he also won his first ATP trophy this season: a his barely 18 years, was consecrated in the 250 of Umag after crushing Richard Gasquet (74 °) with a double 6-2. Belarusian tennis, from the hand of Ilya Ivashka (45°) also celebrated: at the 250 Winston-Salem, where he beat Mikael Ymer (93rd) 6-0 and 6-2.

At the Astana 250, South Korea’s Soonwoo Kwon (53rd) lifted the cup when he defeated James Duckworth (47th) 7-6 (6) 6-3. And finally, American Tommy Paul recently defeated Denis Shapovalov (18th) in the Stockholm final 6-4, 2-6 and 6-2.
