Sergio Aguero is having a heart problem. Inter Milan vice president, Javier Zanetti, sent a message to the Barcelona striker.

Sergio Aguero has been diagnosed with a heart rhythm disorder and will have to be sidelined for about three months to recover. The Barcelona striker had initially started as a starter when Barcelona were matched by Alaves, last Sunday (31/10/2021).

Aguero then complained of tightness in his chest and difficulty breathing. Aguero was pulled out in the 38th minute and then taken to the hospital, until a doctor’s diagnosis came out.

Javier Zanetti, who shares the same Argentinian origin as Aguero, hopes that there is a better way in football to deal with players with heart problems.

“I wish him a speedy recovery, the same thing happens to many football players and I hope we can find a solution to make them play calmly,” Zanetti said as quoted by Football Italia.

“It’s something we need to learn, I send my affection to him and all the players who have been through the same thing.”

With that condition and 33 years of age, Aguero could have been forced to end his career early if there were life-threatening risks.

An Argentine cardiologist, Norberto Debbag, gave an explanation to the public about what the problem of heart arrhythmia or heart rhythm disorders for an athlete.

“Arrhythmias can be studied in 24 hours, the diagnosis is already there. The most complicated is the ventricles because there is damage to the structure of the heart, while atrial arrhythmias are more benign, which can be resolved with drugs,” said Debbag as quoted from Marca.
