Coahuila applies follow-up tests to athletics and archery athletes


Athletes from the Athletics and Archery disciplines, in Saltillo, carried out evaluations within the monitoring program for athletes in training and development.

There were 12 young people to whom tests were applied in Athletics, while in Archery there were 8 athletes who were summoned for the same respective tests.

In Athletics, after having measured their height and weight, the students performed flexibility tests, speed 30 meters with a low start, speed 30 meters thrown with a high start; test 60 flat meters with low and high output; Long jump without momentum, 1 kilo ball toss to the front; abdomen in 30 seconds, push-ups for 30 seconds and a 400 meter dash.

For its part, in Archery, athletes were given tests as maximum anchoring time, to measure the maximum resistance that the student can withstand the force in the opening of the bow.

Maximum arch raises, to quantify the maximum number of repetitions that the movement of raising the arch can perform.

Maximum arc elevation time, in order to measure the maximum resistance that the student can support the weight of the arc.

Annotation, with which the abilities of an archer are seen when competing and analyze the amount of points that he can achieve.

And a theoretical exam, to analyze the archer’s knowledge of the shooting technique and the parts of the bow and arrow.

This process of monitoring the athletes in training will continue this Saturday in Monclova, when the Archery students are summoned for the corresponding tests, which will close the actions of this type in 2021. (EL HERALDO)
