In the midst of everything that is preparing for the game against the New York Giants for week 15, there are some interesting notes that stand out and that attract a lot of attention. For example, the fact that the cowboy wardrobe is extremely united and that its elements are supported and respected.

This is why we must highlight a specific action that happened in the FeDexField against the Washington team. For the last period of the game Dak Prescott made a short pass to the right to Amari Cooper. Despite this, the Cowboy QB came out on the wings thanks to defensive end William Bradley-King.

This action was quite controversial since the play was practically over and even so the opposing defender pushed Prescott. This resulted in the Marshal falling and La’el Collins came to push Bradley-King. The action is typical of an offensive lineman who knows he has to protect his quarterback no matter the price. Zeke Elliott responded as well, but the broadcast clearly showed that Collins traveled a considerable distance to face the opponent.

Consequently, Collins was sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct and a suspension was expected. However, the matter did not pass to greater and the right tackle will be without problems against the Giants. The only detail in question is that he will have to pay a fine to the NFL.

Faced with this situation, it would be Dak Prescott himself who offered Collins to pay the fine, regardless of its price. “Dak told me, calm down, I’ll take care of it,” said the right tackle. “But it is not something that worries me, it is much more than that.”

Regarding the subject, Collins has great admiration for Prescott thanks to the great relationship they have over the years. Even taking into account that Collins was absent for all of 2020 and was also suspended for five games this year for an apparent violation of the league’s substance abuse policy.

Regarding the latter, Collins sued the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell in a Texas court while on suspension. And one of the people who testified in his defense was Dak Prescott. In this matter, the QB claimed that at no time did he see Collins bribe anyone to collect the evidence or see anything strange. Since the NFL shielded itself from the fact that someone apparently admitted that La’el tried to bribe him in certain situations.

Therefore, there is a great friendship between both elements and clearly the OT was not going to allow anyone to do something to Prescott.

“For me it was not the late blow,” La’el said. “I felt like it was something else, I thought it was going to Dak’s leg, and it was unnecessary. I’m only here to protect my quarterback at all costs, and that’s the bottom line. “

As already mentioned, the player was expelled from the match and unfortunately the action had to be repeated. Only instead of being third and eight, the offense went to third and 23 with a fifteen-yard penalty. The possession would end with a three-yard run by Corey Clement. In a game that was more complicated than necessary for the lone star team, but at least they managed to get the result and remain as leaders of the NFC East.

If there’s one thing for sure, it’s that the Cowboys’ right tackle will continue to stand up for his quarterback. Even more so knowing that Tyron Smith will not be at the MetLife Stadium match. A great game is expected, where Dallas finishes taking the final steps to get its place in the postseason.
