The state of Aguascalientes continues in the sights of major sporting events and this time it will host the National Basketball Festival “Gustavo Ayón”, which will take place from March 16 to 20, 2022, in youth categories.
This match is endorsed by the Mexican Basketball Sports Association (Ademeba) and organized by GVS and Gustavo Ayón, with the objective of developing this discipline in our country.
Through a press conference, where the presence of the general director of the State Sports Institute (IDEA), Manuel Aceves Rubio, the professional basketball player Gustavo Ayón and members of the organizing committee, the details of this event were announced, which aims to bring together around 2,800 players from the 32 entities of the Republic.

Besides of trophy and medals that will be awarded to the first, second and third place in each category, will also be awarded to all national champions with a trip to Round Rock County of the state of Texas, with the reason to participate in the event Skyhook and Little Lads International Basketball Tournament, to be held from July 1 to 10.
In this regard, the director general of IDEA, Manuel Aceves Rubio, pointed out that this festival will leave an important economic spill to the state and will add to the 580 sports events held throughout the current administration:
It is very satisfactory that personalities like Gustavo Ayón and national federations fix their eyes on Aguascalientes, thanks to the strong investment in infrastructure that has been made to develop any discipline.

For his part, basketball player Gustavo Ayón thanked the State Goverment for supporting the promotion of this event, highlighting that joining forces is essential to continue collaborating with the mexican basketball:
