Farewell to the victims of the Ravanusa tragedy this afternoon. In piazza Primo Maggio, the state funeral of the 9 victims (10 with little Samuele, who died in the womb of his mother Selene). To welcome them, in a crowded square, in addition to the families of the victims, friends, the citizens of Ravanusa, a city shocked by the incident, and then again the prefect of Agrigento Maria Rita Cocciufa. The prefect, head of the fire department, Laura Leo, as well as the Minister of Infrastructure Enrico Giovannini and the national head of Civil Protection Fabrizio Curcio also arrived from Rome.
“Darkness has fallen in the lives of the victims, their families, Ravanusa and Campobello di Licata where Selene and Giuseppe lived and where little Samuele would arrive, who did not have time to be born, but who was fully entitled one of us », said the archbishop of Agrigento Alessandro Damiano who officiated the funeral of the victims of the Via Trilussa massacre.
