The funny Christmas present from the supporters of Charleroi to those of the Standard

The Walloon shock between Standard and Charleroi on December 5 has left its mark. Interrupted in the 87th following a second burst of smoke launched on the lawn of Sclessin by the supporters of the Standard, before they get on the lawn, the meeting therefore never came to an end.

Since then, the discontent has continued to mount on the side of Standard, the club taking heavy penalties by notably closing the stands occupied by the entertainment groups. On the side of the supporters, the banners flourished around Sclessin and elsewhere. “Club for sale”, “Grosjean resignation”, the messages are clear.

Over the years, the Walloon shock has gained in importance, and for this to continue, the two clubs must be in good condition. With this in mind, the Storm Ultras, a group of Zebras supporters, posted a rather funny post on their Facebook page.

At this Christmas time, we think it would be good to forget about this sometimes extreme rivalry. Having lived, ourselves, in the past, difficult moments following the financial and sporting difficulties of our club, we realized that it was not a question of adding a layer but rather of helping our friends from Liège. to find a reliable partner to help them get back on their feet. No longer being able to experience the “Walloon shock” would ultimately be a sad outcome for us.“, could we read in particular.

In an attempt to revive the Rouches, a carolo supporter contacted… Abbas Bayat posing as a Liège supporter asking him to buy the club. A little snub from the Zebras since the former president carolo had not left on good terms with the zebra fans, who had asked for his departure.

A little joke that did not necessarily expect an answer but to which the Iranian businessman responded, offering his help to the supporters so that they buy the club. But Abbas Bayat no longer wants to get involved in the upper echelons of Belgian football and is not going dead hand, speaking of corruption, bribes and match-fixing.

A joke that will have had the gift of making people laugh on the Carolo side and which we hope will be well received on the Liège side.
