Van Barneveld dies at World Cup darts in top match against Rob Cross | Darts

Raymond van Barneveld’s World Cup is already over in the second round. The Dutchman went down against ex-world champion Rob Cross. Van Barneveld started his match very well, but did not finish it.

In his first round, Van Barneveld had no problem at all and he seemed to continue on his elan in the top match against Cross. The Dutchman started furiously in Ally Pally. He immediately broke Cross with a 13-darter and then scored a 170 finish. The Dutchman eventually won the set 3-1.

Cross tied the score again in set two after Van Barneveld missed some precious doubles. In the third set both players reached a good level, but it was Cross who made it.

In the last set, the Dutchman was no longer involved. He didn’t win a single leg and went down a bit ingloriously.
