18 international hopefuls land in Toronto

Since Saturday, the international free agent market has been open. Teams can therefore sign guys in order to inject talent that does not come from Canada, the United States and Puerto Rico.

In Toronto, the following 18 signings were made and officially announced.

From the lot, we obviously note (as expected) the receiver Luis Meza. He is the biggest name in the club and he was the 33rd hope of his vintage.

No “Phenomenon” in Toronto, but good players.

International free agents: the big names will go to New York and Washington

For their part, the Blue Jays will add a young receiver to their bank of hopes.

Among the lot, there are few infield players. There are many right-handed pitchers, catchers and outfielders.

The Blue Jays even signed an outfielder named Bautista. Jonathan Bautista.

No pressure, kid.

It will take several years before this crop of guys born mostly in 2005 will have any impact in major league baseball. To be followed in the long term, therefore.
