More than 300 teams from all over the world signed up for the competition, and the teams that passed the preliminaries will participate in the finals held at the University of Science and Technology of China from May 7th to 11th.
According to reports, ASC22 adopts the “preliminary + final” competition system, and the competition topic focuses on the integration of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence. In the preliminaries from January 5th to March 4th, the participating college teams need to complete two extremely challenging cutting-edge application questions, namely the “source” AI language model and the representative software of AI+Science DeePMD-kit , which will be a huge test for the supercomputing application and innovation ability of the participating teams.
The teams shortlisted for the finals will compete in benchmarking, high-performance computing and artificial intelligence and other application questions, and participate in English defenses to compete for the championship and runner-up, the e Prize Computing Challenge Award, the highest computing performance award and many other awards.
Wang Endong, the initiator of the ASC competition and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said that since the ASC competition was held for 10 years, the competition mode of “promoting learning through competition and meeting friends through competition” has achieved remarkable results. The ASC World University Student Supercomputing Competition is a supercomputing competition for university students initiated by China.
