3 reasons the Buccaneers are going to WIN Super Bowl LVI

When talking about teams with a chance of winning Super Bowl LVI, one of the names that comes up first is the BuccaneersAnd with good reason: This team won Super Bowl LV and they don’t seem to have lost the shine that got them there. So it doesn’t take much thought to come up with three reasons why they could repeat last season’s feat.

1. The defense is playing well

When the Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV, one of the main reasons was their defense, especially because of the spectacular performance they had against Patrick Mahomes and company. Granted, this version isn’t quite as powerful, but it’s still high-caliber and might be enough for a repeat ride.

One of the main reasons for this is that a couple of pieces came back from injuries: linebacker Lavonte David and edge rusher Shaquil Barrett both played in the Wild Card Round and were key pieces in the easy win that had against the Eagles. The presence of David and Barrett helped this unit regain its status from earlier in the season (when it was the best defense against the running game) and they showed it by stopping the Eagles’ running offense in its tracks, which came in as the best of the NFL. The Eagles running backs combined for 56 rushing yards in the game, and a good part of that came when the scoreboard was already out of reach.

Defensive coordinator Todd Bowles has shown he has the ability to make things very difficult for opposing offenses, and the start of the 2022 NFL Playoffs was a reminder of that. This unit could give the Bucs another trip to the Super Bowl.

2. The Buccaneers’ offense still has enough weapons

When the 2022 NFL Playoffs were about to begin, there was talk of all the absences on offense, especially in the receiving group. Chris Godwin was out for the rest of the season and Antonio Brown was released after reminding the world what is antony brown. Cyril Grayson, who started to emerge as an option, also has an injury, so the receiving corps looks weak with only Mike Evans and a bunch of unexciting names: Tyler Johnson, Breshad Perriman, Scotty Miller, etc.

Now, that’s not to say the Buccaneers are short on weapons. This team’s tight end group is designed to function as a second group of receivers by including Rob Gronkowski, Cameron Brate and OJ Howard.

In the running game, the absences of Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones were not decisive against the Eagles, as Giovanni Bernard did a good job alongside Ke’Shawn Vaughn. These two running backs combined for 97 yards and two touchdowns, so it’s clear the Buccaneers find a way to bring out more weapons.

3. Tom Brady is still his QB

Now, if we’re going to talk about why the Buccaneers are favorites to go to Super Bowl LVI, we have to talk about the veteran quarterback. Brady is coming off a great season (5,587 yards, 45 TD, 102.8 rating) and we already know that the playoffs are his favorite terrain.

Right now, Brady is riding a nine-game winning streak in the Divisional Round, the longest by a QB in any round. This is an unequivocal sign of the talent of this player, who always rises to the occasion.

For the Buccaneers, everything is easier knowing they have Brady at the controls. Are they losing by ten points? This QB is perfect to overcome the difference. Is the opposing defense doing things they didn’t expect? They have a passer who shouldn’t have a problem keeping his cool.

Bottom line: The Buccaneers entered the 2022 NFL Playoffs with the best QB possible for these instances, and as long as that holds they should be considered a serious candidate to win it all.

These were the three reasons why the Buccaneers are going to win Super Bowl LVI. Which are yours? Do you think different? We read you in the comments below this article and on our social networks.
