The Ministry of Culture will resume the functions of the film cycle “Akira Kurosawa”, of January 18 to 22 at the “Luis Buñuel” Cinematheque with a screening of seven selected Japanese feature films.
This cycle will consist of films directed by Akira Kurosawa, who is known for using telephoto lenses, obsessed with light, costumes and framing; which has caused him to be considered as one of the most influential filmmakers in the world.
Citizens who come to this Cinematheque will appreciate: “The Legend of Judo”, “Yojimbo the Mercenary”, “Live”, “Scandal”, “The Seven Samurai”, “Red Beard” and “Kagemusha: Shadow of the Warrior”.
