The Archers of the Reed ofErondelle (Somme) received the “Ambition” label, awarded by the French archery federation.
This label, rewarding a policy deliberately geared towards training, youth and diversity, was awarded to the Érondelle archery club.
“This is very good news for the association,” says Patricia Carton, president and coach of the local club.
Youth, diversity and training at the heart of the action
Responding to ambitious and demanding specifications from the FFTA (French archery federation), the club favors several strong axes which have enabled local archers to be awarded this distinction.
“Our association integrates enough young people and this is an essential criterion”, begins Patricia Carton.
In terms of diversity, the club exceeds expectations.
“We welcome 50% of women while the FFTA requires a threshold of at least 35%. Our board is also made up of a majority of female members. »
A vice-champion of France in the workforce
On the training side, specific training sessions are organized for beginners and for the most seasoned archers, with many time slots.
“Finally, we organize competitions…” completes the president.
A president who is very happy to be at the head of a club which can count, in its ranks, on an ambassador of choice in the person of Louana Delattre, vice-champion of France in barebow in 2020 and still faithful to the club.
