About fifty judokas from all over the department took part in a Ju-Jitsu course in Guipavas – Guipavas

Sunday, January 16, the departmental pole of judo-champion-for-the-veterans-camp/” title=”A judo champion for the veterans' camp”>ju-jitsu invested the combat room of the complex of Guipavas Celebrates Season with Trophy Presentation and Belt Promotion”>Kercoco, in Guipavas, for a day of training. “Ju-jitsu is the samurai’s art of guarding, it mixes different martial arts including judo, karate and aikido. This discipline is one of those of the French Judo Federation”, explains David Bizouarn, head of the departmental pole and judo teacher in various clubs in northern Finistère, including the Judo Club de Guipavas. This center aims to ensure the follow-up of athletes practicing ju-jitsu by organizing events, such as this course, which is the second of the season.

Four trainers present

There were 50 judokas, including four trainers: David Bizouarn, Gwenaël Flejo, trainer in Ne Waza, ground combat or Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Nicolas Le Floch, ground judo specialist, and Stéphane Perrot, judo trainer. Among these nearly 50 trainees, twelve make up the competition center for cadets and more in Finistère.

This Sunday, these trainees were also able to share with Chiara Demin, licensed at the Dojo des Trois Rivières in Quimperlé. The latter is European champion of ju-jitsu combat in the junior category. “She was qualified for the world championships but, injured, she could not participate,” says David Bizouarn.
