After an 11-year hiatus, Inter triumphs in the Italian Super Cup

After an 11-year hiatus, the Inter team of Milan became the winners of the Italian Super Cup on Wednesday, beating Turin’s Juventus team in a dramatic 2: 1 overtime.

In the 25th minute of the game, Weston McKeen led the nine-time Super Cup winner “Juventus”, but ten minutes later Lautaro Martiness equalized with a convincing 11-meter penalty.

No goals were scored in the regular time, but in the last seconds of overtime, Inter was able to pull out the victory – an accurate shot from close range was given to Alex Sanchez, who came on the substitution.

For Inter, this was the sixth victory in the Italian Super Cup and the first triumph since 2010, when AS Roma was defeated in the 3: 1 final.
