Mohammed Kudus clears up a crazy rumor. The story goes that he did not want to go to the Africa Cup with Ghana because there would be ‘voodoo’ in the Ghanaian camp. He wouldn’t even want to play for the Ghana national team anymore. Nonsense, says Kudus now.
Kudus did not travel because he is not race fit, but in Africa a completely different story and the Ghanaian is done with that. “On my path to recovery, it is very discouraging with all the accusations and comments about my national team-mates, which have been read in various media,” Kudus wrote on Twitter.
“It’s very unfortunate, but all these comments are the opposite of what I stand for. I would like to use this medium to distance myself from all baseless comments and media citing me. I humbly call on the Ghanaians to please ignore it and treat it with all the contempt it deserves.”
