Three representatives of Latvia – Dainis Kazakevičs, Antonijs Chernomordijs and Ilvars Koscinkevičs – also cast their votes for the best football player of the year in the vote of the International Football Association (FIFA), according to the voting data published by FIFA.
Robert Levandowski, the leader of the Polish national team and the German club Bayern Munich, as well as Alexei Putell, representing the Spanish national team and the Barcelona team, have already been named FIFA’s best footballers for the second time in a row on Monday. All three Latvian representatives voted for the best in Poland, putting Argentine star Lionel Messi from the French club “St.Germain” in Paris in the second place, and Georgian Georges from the UEFA Champions League in the third place for the English club “Chelsea” in London.
Meanwhile, the best coach in the men’s club competition was Thomas Tuhel from Germany and Emma Heiza (both “Chelsea”) as women. Kazakevich named Roberto Mancini (Italian national team) the best of all specialists, giving second place to Tuhel and third to Pep Guardol from the City of Manchester. Koscinkevich also put Mancini in first place, followed by Lionel Skaloni (Argentina’s national team) and Tuhel in third. Chernomordy gave first place to Tuhel, second to Manchin and third to Italian specialist Antonio Kontem (Milan’s Inter / Tothenburg’s Hotspur).
The captain of the Latvian women’s team Sandra Voitāne named Puteljas the best player, the second place went to Samant Keru from Australia and Pernili Harderi from Denmark (both “Chelsea”). The coach of the Latvian women’s national team Roman Kvačovs ranked the English player Ellen White (Manchester) in the first place, Keru in the second place, and the Swedish Magdalene Erikson was mentioned as the third best. Koscinkevich won Putellay, placing Keru and Erikson in second and third positions, respectively.
Senegal’s goalkeeper Eduard Mendy, who plays for the Chelsea club in London on a daily basis, was named the best in his field. Kazakevich and Koscinkevich put Janluži Donnarummu (AC Milan / Paris-Saint-Germain) in first place, Mendi in second place and Manuel Noier in third place. The captain of the Latvian national team gave the first place to Donnarum, the second to Kasper Schmeihel (City of Leicester), and the third to Noier.
Kristiane Endler from Chile, who plays for the French club “Olympique” in Lyon, was recognized as the best goalkeeper. Voitane put Endler in first place in his ballot, with Anna-Catherine Berger (“Chelsea”) as Germany’s second best and Hedwig Lindal (Madrid’s “Atletico”) as third. Kwachov ranked Berger first, Endler second, and Alice Nehher (Red Star of Chicago) third. Koscinkevich, on the other hand, ranked St.Germain’s Canadian goalkeeper Stefania Labe in the first place, Lindal in the second and Berger in the third.
Meanwhile, Voitāne and Kvačov, coaches of the best women’s teams, put Sarin Vigman from the Netherlands (Netherlands / England) first and Spain Luis Cortes (Barcelona / Ukraine) second. Voitan was third as the third, and Peter Gerdhardson (Sweden) was the head coach of the national team. Meanwhile, Koscinkevich named the Canadian national team coach Beverly Priestman the best, putting Cortes in second place and Heiza in third place.
It has already been reported that the Francis Pushash Prize for the winner of the most beautiful goal of the year was awarded to Argentine footballer Erik Lamela for scoring in a good match between the English Premier League club Totsenham “Hotspur” and the London “Arsenal”. The fan prize was for the spectators of the European Championship Denmark – Finland for both countries. The FIFA Fair Play Award for this game went to the Danish national team, including the medical staff.
FIFA’s special prize went to Manchester’s Ron striker Ronaldo, who has scored 115 goals in 184 games for the Portuguese national team, and Kristina Sinklera, who has scored 188 times in 308 games for Canada. The award holders were announced during a television show in Zurich.
