An Atlético fan injured in the incidents recorded in the run-up to the match against Real

The confrontation between Real Sociedad and Atlético de Madrid in Anoeta has been preceded by another confrontation that has had nothing to do with sport. The outskirts of the stadium have been involved in a climate of violence that has not been lived in the streets of the Gipuzkoan capital for a long time and that have sadly reminded us of the worst times.

A young Atlético de Madrid fan was treated this Wednesday afternoon at the outpatient clinic after being attacked in the head near the Anoeta stadium. According to sources from the Ertzainta, the young man would have been hit with a glass by a fan who was wearing a Real Sociedad shirt, which caused an open wound that required medical attention. The fan required three or four stitches. According to other sources, the altercations have taken place on Isabel II street where, apparently, followers caused damage to the furniture on the terraces of the bars.

Added to this incident was the throwing of bottles and objects at the two buses of the Atlético de Madrid expedition, that of the team and that of the companions, upon arrival at the stadium, which has forced the Ertzaintza agents to intervene to dissolve these incidents. The throwing of objects has broken at least two windows on each of the two buses.

Villamarín, closed two games

At the time when objects were being thrown, Simeone made these fans ugly by his behavior from the bus steps, in the front row. Once the buses were parked in the underground car park, the incidents were reproduced. Fans have thrown stones, fences, flares and other objects at the Ertzaintza agents on the Errondo promenade.
