Ancelotti after Hazard’s goal: “I have not been happier after a match” | soccer spain

Against Elche, Real Madrid had to push their limits in extra time to secure a spot in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.

Elche took the lead in overtime, Isco equalized. In the end it was Eden Hazard, substitute in the 1st extension, who scored the winning goal.

The Red Devil ran past the enemy goalkeeper and scored his 1st goal of the season.

“I’ve never been happier after a game this season than I was today,” Real coach Carlo Ancelotti said after the game. “Isco and Hazard have both not had many playing minutes this season, but today they win the game.”

“It has meaning to win this way. Maybe Hazard should be on the pitch with Isco more.”

“The past is the past. I know I can now count on Isco and Hazard,” Ancelotti continues. “I have an extraordinary group of players.”
