Anderlecht have won the top match of the 15th match day in the Women’s Super League. With goals from Wullaert and Colson, Standard was sidelined.
Last weekend Standard and Anderlecht managed to qualify for the cup final, on the first match day after the winter break we already got a foretaste of that final.
The inevitable Tessa Wullaert put Anderlecht in a seat early in the match, after a mistake was whistled on the edge of the penalty area and the Purple & White’s top striker was allowed to score from eleven meters.
Standard certainly also had its chances, including an attempt by Janssens on the crossbar, but it was Michelle Colson who finally closed the Liège book in the final phase.
With the win, Anderlecht are 1 point behind leader OH Leuven, whose match against Zulte Waregem has been postponed.
