Andy Murray misses his first tournament win since 2019 at the ATP tournament in Sydney – Karatsev wins the final

Murray had won four straight matches en route to the final in the Australian metropolis for the first time since winning the title in Belgium.

“It’s a big improvement on everything I did last year. Winning four matches in a row against some top players,” Murray said after beating Reilly Opelka (USA) in the semifinals.

The Scot received a wildcard for the Australian Open and meets Georgian Nikolos Basilashvili in the first round of the Happy Slam.
