Another big transfer coming in MLS

Record transfers continue to make headlines in Major League Soccer (MLS). This time, striker Alan Velasco will make the leap with FC Dallas for a sum of $7 million, unheard of for the Texas organization.

At least that’s what the MLS website reported on Monday. Several other South American media have also reported on this agreement, which must be finalized, with Club Atlético Independiente, in the Argentine first division.

Velasco has scored eight goals and added 10 assists in 69 appearances for Club Atlético Independiente. The 19-year-old has also represented Argentina internationally at the U15 and U17 level.

At the start of the year, FC Dallas filled up on cash by sending striker Ricardo Pepi to FC Augsburg, in the German first division. The formation of the MLS would have received $ 18 million in return.

Last week, it was FC Dallas’ Texan rivals, Houston Dynamo, which set a new transfer precedent by acquiring forward Sebastian Ferreira from Club Libertad for $4.9 million.
