Aparjods and Bērziņš close the best nine in Winterberg – Winter Sports

The fastest in the first race was the Austrian Niko Glairšers, who completed the track in 52,121 seconds, but all four Latvians were in the second tenth.

The second place was taken by the Italian Dominik Fisnaller, who was 0.170 seconds behind the leader, but the third place owner Johannes Ludwig from Germany was 0.228 seconds behind.

Due to the warm weather, the quality of the ice in the second race dropped sharply, which allowed several athletes to improve their results. Bērziņš was fourth in the race and Aparjods was seventh, which allowed both Latvians to rise in the results table.

In the overall standings after six stages and two sprint races, the leader with 675 points is Ludwig, 551 points with Kindle, and the third with 430 points is Repilov. Aparjods with 382 points is fifth, Bērziņš has accumulated 304 points and is 11th, but Dārznieks and Rozītis have 19th and 21st places, respectively.
