The appointment of the AFC Pro licensed coach as technical director, is a tangible form of Arema FC’s seriousness in producing players for the future.
Currently, Arema academy is the only one that uses the services of a technical director with an AFC Pro license.
“Today, we directly appointed coach Joko ‘Gethuk’ Susilo to be the technical director of the Arema academy. This is in accordance with our work program which will rebuild the Arema Academy which is more systematic and can produce more star players for Arema,” said Gilang.
The seriousness of the management in building the Arema academy will be interesting to wait for because so far Arema FC is well known as a team that often produces quality young players.
The figure of Joko Susilo himself is quite well known to the Malang public. Considering that he had been a player and coach of Arema FC.
“This is a challenge for me. I will work hard for this trust,” said Joko Susilo briefly.
On the other hand, the manager of the EPA (Elite Pro Academy) Arema FC Ganesya said that his main target was coaching. “The next goal is achievement. And at EPA 2022, hopefully we can achieve and make Malang proud,” said Ganesya.
