New elections for the association’s leadership are scheduled for March. Duka wants to apply again for the top job. According to his own statements, he received a text message containing a death threat.
The European football union Uefa was “deeply concerned” about the current development in Albanian football and expressed its support for Duka. The final of the new Conference League is to be held in Tirana on May 25th.
