‘Aston Villa circles name of top target, but runs up against asking price’

Manchester United's”>Aston Villa has Yves Bissouma on the grain. The club of manager Steven Gerrard wants to pick up the midfielder from Brighton & Hove Albion this month. One problem is the price tag.

Bissouma must cost just under 48 million euros, reports The Telegraph. In addition to Aston Villa, he is also being watched by Manchester United, which is not concrete for him. Bissouma’s contract runs until the summer of 2023 and it does not appear that he will be extended at Brighton.

Aston Villa wants to get another midfielder in January and is thinking of Bissouma, but has no intention of putting the 48 million requested by Brighton on the table. Brighton has already indicated that it does not want to sell Bissouma, but that seems to be a game to drive up the price. And because Aston Villa has to, the club will be high in the tree.

Aston Villa is on the verge of signing Lucas Digne from Everton. The left back must cost around 25 million euros.
