Ciudad Juarez, Chih.- A delegation made up of 17 athletes from Juarez traveled this Friday to the state capital to participate in the second stage of the athletics series in the throwing mode, scheduled for this Saturday, reported Carlos Fernando Sifuentes, president of the Municipal Athletics League. from Ciudad Juarez.
He said that thanks to the support of the Municipal Government, through the Municipal Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of Juárez (IMDEJ) directed by Juan Carlos Escalante, the athletes attend the sports fair with the goal of achieving the first places in this state stage.
The athletes were fired by their parents outside the IMDEJ facilities, to later move to the Sports Unit of the city of Chihuahua in the units provided by the agency.
Of them, seven will compete in badminton in search of the pass to the pre-national of the specialty to be held in Aguascalientes next March, said Israel Zepeda Pérez, president of the Municipal League of Badminton in Ciudad Juárez.
Those who will represent Ciudad Juárez in the sporting event are Guillermo Cruz Quiñonez, Brisa Mar Zepeda Moreno, Nubia Estela Zapata, Evelyn Rodríguez, Girhel Arreola, Valentina Cevallos and Erik Zepeda.
