Alexander Zverev is in the round of 16 of the Australian Open in Melbourne for the fourth time in a row. The German Olympic champion defeated the world number 124. Radu Albot from Moldova clearly 6: 3, 6: 4, 6: 4. Zverev thus remained without losing a set in the third game of the first Grand Slam tournament in 2022. All other German participants in the individual competitions have already been eliminated.
Now, however, Zverev faces a more difficult task. In the round of 16, it’s against Canadian Denis Shapovalov. The world number 14. won his match against American Reilly Opelka 7:6 (7:4), 4:6, 6:3, 6:4.
