Avellino-Paganese post derby clashes, searches at dawn by the Digos of Avellino and Salerno at the homes of 20 fans investigated by the Avellino prosecutor, considered the protagonists of the violence that took place along the Salerno-Avellino connection. Fifteen suspects are supporters of the Paganese, five of the Avellino, all of Montoro, the latter defended by the lawyer Fabio Tulimiero; together with them, always among the green-and-white supporters, there were also two minors, investigated by the Naples prosecutor’s office, which raise the perpetrators of the clashes to 22.
In the search decree, the entire affair was reconstructed by the prosecutor Teresa Venezia: immediately after the match some Paganese fans, who were returning aboard a minivan, were followed and approached by a Tiguan and a Lancia Musa. Above there were seven Avellino fans, including the two minors, who, in the Solofra tunnel, joined the minivan of their rivals, trying to stop its march; further on, at Montoro, they came side by side once again and, when the windows were lowered, they hit the car of the Paganese fans several times with the flag pole.
Hence the reaction of the rivals, who put their minivan sideways on the ring road paralyzing traffic and hooded, with poles, baseball bats and bottles, hurled themselves at the green-and-white fans, damaging their cars and hitting them to the point of wounding them. The object of the fury is also innocent citizens, whose cars have been damaged; moments of terror also witnessed by some families and their young children, stuck on the slip road in their cars.
Now the protagonists of the clashes will have to answer, for various reasons, for the accusations of aggravated violence, brawl, personal injury, blocking of traffic and damage in competition
