For several days, all kinds of rumors (Depoitre, Klauss, Ngoy, Gueye, etc.) have been circulating about the supposed identity of the attacker that Charleroi wishes to enlist. But, as revealed in our edition this Sunday, it is ultimately Youssouph Badji who should be the fourth – and a priori last – incoming transfer from Charleroi in this transfer window.
The Senegalese (20 years old, 1.93 m), loaned by Club Brugge to Stade Brestois (13th in Ligue 1), is barred there. He has only 11 appearances (0 goals). The leaders of the French club want to shorten his loan and they even recruited a new striker recently.
Badji, aware of his extremely complicated situation in Brest, is in favor of the idea of joining Charleroi. Discussions continued on Sunday. While a dry loan had been mentioned – OHL had also submitted an offer to this effect – the stumbling block would mainly lie in the purchase option that the Carolo management wants to include. An agreement should however be reached with the leaders of Bruges by Monday midnight. Youssouph Badji’s market value is estimated at €2.5m.
Didier Desprez on loan?
In the sense of departures, there would still be no concrete offer for Adem Zorgane, who, according to the newspaper The Team on Saturday, would be followed by Lyon.
In addition, Sporting would welcome the loan to a lower division of Didier Desprez so that he can gain playing time. Since the arrival of Kamara, the French goalkeeper has been demoted in the hierarchy.
The Hainaut management will also remain on the lookout for a possible good deal, this Monday, the last day of the transfer window.
