Basket A2, countdown over: at 6 pm Assigeco and Bakery compete in the Piacenza derby

The countdown has expired, with the Piacenza basketball cartel challenge ready to offer a great show to basketball fans. Today at 18.00 at the PalaBanca the time of the derby between Assigeco and Bakery begins, facing each other in the all-Piacenza challenge of the last round of the first round of the green round of the men’s A2 series.

An expected match that will be played in front of the public, albeit necessarily contingent on the anti-Covid regulations: spectators will be a maximum of 1,310, a share equal to 35% of the capacity of the city sports hall, with the doors for the public that will open at 17, a hour before the tap-off. Assigeco has not played since 12 December, while the Bakery closed 2021 on the court seven days later. A challenge, that of PalaBanca, which will also be important for their respective rankings, both smiling to our local clubs. Currently, in fact, Assigeco shares sixth place with Turin at 14 points, with the potential possibility of fourth place, two points away, counting the recovery to be played on Wednesday on the Capo d’Orlando field. For its part, however, the Bakery is eighth hand in hand with Trapani at 10 points, with a good margin on the play out area (third from last and penultimate, while the last one relegates directly).

Biancorossoblù “at home” complete with the return of the captain Luca Cesana, with the only doubts about the playing time of Davide Pascolo e Lorenzo Querci, struggling with some physical problems. On the other hand, the situation at the Bakery, which will have to give up due to an injury to the captain, is heavier Marco Perin in addition to three forced absences for Covid communicated (without names) on Wednesday by the red and white company. Late in the afternoon on Friday, the last round of swabs that did not reveal any other critical issues.
