For this victory, there was no need to wait for a final basket on the buzzer. For a long time, the supporters of Basket Landes have been known for their solidarity and their generosity. Sunday January 16 again, they proved it. In all, during a collection of intimate hygiene products for women, 3,076 sanitary napkins were donated, but also 1,683 tampons, 484 panty liners, 143 intimate wipes, three washing gels and three menstrual panties.
The operation was organized for the first time in Mont-de-Marsan by Basket Landes, in partnership with the Women’s Basketball League and the national association Rules Elementary. The goal is to fight against menstrual precariousness, which affects many women: students, women in precarious work or even homeless women.
